What Are Cookies?
A cookie is a small file saved in your browser when you visit a website. It is sent back to the website on your next visit so it can remember certain things — like your cookie preferences. Cookies cannot run programs or access other files on your device.
Some cookies are placed by the website you are visiting (first-party cookies). Others come from third-party services embedded on the page, such as analytics tools.
